Which Side Of The Looking Glass Are You On?
October 27, 2009

One of my fondest memories from childhood comes from the stories of Alice In Wonderland and Through The Looking Glass. I’ve always adored letting my imagination soar.
Giving life to different ways of thinking and seeing how some ideas we fear can grow to become a confident and comfortable part of our lives. Anything is possible in the imagination.
With fantasy comes a glimpse of reality- they run side by side and play together. And when you look at yourself in the mirror, who or what do you see?
Is it a fantasy, one perhaps you wish to make a reality- do you see your fears or do you see your strengths and successes?
For Alice, her looking was keeping her trapped inside a world of fantasy. So strong, that her worries kept her from recognizing her talent and capabilities, her chance and ability to grow. But she faced those demons, and became someone strong and confident.
Maybe Alice was a child overcoming her fears, but she did face her Jaberwocky in time to grow up and have tea with the adults. Not alone- not really, she had guides to help her along the way. She was never alone, and when it came time to face reality she still had her mother to show her the proper steps.
We don’t have to accomplish new lessons alone, there are coaches available to guide us through the difficulties and make it a smooth and comfortable process. It is why I offer coaching for those seeking the expertise and insight they desire in their lives, to benefit and strengthen from.
Sometimes we need to get through the looking glass and become the image we have always wanted to be. We just need to see it first, and take the guidance necessary to get there.
We are all capable of growing stronger and more confident in our lives- we hold a greatness within us. Do you see your true talent when you look through the mirror- or is there a Jaberwocky stopping you.
